Every province in Canada has its own beauty and charm. Pack all your things in your TruBlue backpack and get ready for great experiences this summer.
We have discovered a couple gems in Vancouver through the eyes of our fans, who have shared with us their adventures with TruBlue. Check them out!
Spanish Banks, Vancouver
Spanish Banks is a series of beautiful beaches located in Vancouver. This is a perfect destination for a walking route while enjoying incredible views of the English Bay and the skyline of downtown Vancouver. Into water activities on your trip? Skim-boarding and kite surfing are popular activities on this beach! The expansive grass fields also make it popular for family and friend gatherings, picnics and outdoor games like volleyball and soccer. It is a perfect spot for a day-trip.
This beach park is known for its low tides. Visitors enjoy this phenomenon since the shore space is larger to play more games, run and just hang out with family and friends. Along the shore, you can find wooden logs that serve as benches to sit down, enjoy the view and have a snack. Fill your backpack with snacks, water, Frisbee, whatever will fit! And enjoy the natural beauty of Spanish Banks.
We decided to have a beautiful evening walk on the beach ... this heron wasn't all too pleased with our presence ... of course we were totally invading his space 😊 . . . #ilovebc #explorebc #vancouver #explorecanada #canada #vancity #veryvancouver #vancitybuzz #beautifulbc #travel #604now #explorevancouver #travelcanada #cityofvancouver #vancityvibe #globetrotter #traveltheworld #travelblog #familyfun #cityview #citytrip #beautifulsky #eveningsky #beautifulview #amazingview #oceanview
We discovered this beautiful place through our friend @joerinthecity who enjoys beautiful evenings at the Spanish Banks with the family playing games, jogging and making picnics. The TruBlue backpack always makes the trip too!
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
The Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is one of the most visited places by tourists in British Columbia and it is located in North Vancouver. The suspension bridge which is 140 meters long and 70 meters above the river, crosses the Capilano River. You can walk the bridge and enjoy breathtaking views of the river, the trees and the feeling of the temperate West Coast rain-forest ecosystem.
The nearby park also features Treetops adventures, rain-forest Eco-tours, beautiful gardens, nature trails, guided history tours, the new cliffwalk, and a private collection of First Nations totem poles and costumes. On special days, visitors can also enjoy a First Nations performance about their traditions; masks, dancing and storytelling.
This park is a must to go when visiting Vancouver. Our friend @chloevscorner who is an adventure seeker, went for a day-trip with her friends and shared great pictures of the suspension bridge and the Treetop Adventure. Check out her trusty travel buddy, our Marina Backpack!
Thank you to our TruBlue tribe for recommending these beautiful places! These are two great places for today and there are many more things to do and places to visit, especially if you love nature. BC is surrounded by mountains to hike and enjoy breathtaking views. Always remember to bring in your backpack a bottle of water, some snacks and a raincoat, to be ready for the long walks!
Keep adventuring friends, and please keep us posted on your favourite places!
