I love the powerful quote “Better to see something once than hear about it a thousand times”, it ignites that urge to go travel the world and see new wonders, make friends along the road and collect magical memories. Let’s check out the places our TruBlue friends have visited in Asia to get awesome ideas to plan our next adventures:
Nuwara Eliya, which means "city on the plain (table land)" or "city of light", is a place with picturesque landscapes and a temperate climate. Because of its cool climate and being at an altitude of 1,868 m, Nuwara Eliya is considered the most important location for tea production in Sri Lanka. There are many things to do and visit in this amazing place.
One of tourist’s favourite places to visit is the Pidurutalagala mount, the highest point in Sri Lanka. Grab your Patriot water repellent backpack since the climate is very humid and you will most likely get some rain, and head out for a hiking adventure to this mountain. You will enjoy a breathtaking view of Nuwara Eliya city and if the sky is clear you might have a view of the island. If you carry your camera and other gadgets, we recommend to also bring your backpack rain cover for extra protection of your valuables.
Another impressive place you should visit in Nuwara Eliya is Gregory lake to spend a lovely afternoon relaxing with a view. Prepare your things and enjoy a picnic at the shore. Pack your TruBlue canvas backpack with snacks, your favourite blanket and drinks. You can also go horseback riding or go on a boat ride. Other places to visit are the Hakgala Botanical Gardens, Victoria Park, Ramboda Falls and the World’s End in Horton Plains National Park. Thanks to @wanderlusttourist we know more about the lovely country of Sri Lanka.
The bad news is time flies. The good news is you're the pilot. We went on a train ride for 3 hours and it was stunning, we packed some snacks drinks, magazines ofcourse my camera and I still had space for my laptop. . . . @trublue1987 @yellowstars.shop #wanderlusttourist #belgiantravelblogger #antwerpblogger #trainstop #srilankatravel #speechlessplaces #onceinalifetime #wonderfullplaces #womanwhotravel #traveltagged #travelinladies
Namiseom is a tiny island located in Chuncheon, South Korea, just two hours away from Seoul. Known as “Nami Island” this place is an oasis for culture and nature. Visitors can take a 5-minute ferry ride to get to the island for a wonderful day trip. Upon their arrival, visitors encounter a lovely forest, wild seasonal flowers and free-roaming bunnies and squirrels that welcome them to the island.
Nami Island is a great place for taking spectacular photos with your TruBlue canvas and leather backpacks, since the scenery is just lovely and peaceful. For this reason, many artists from all over the world come to the island to show-off their talents and share the sense of peace of mind it creates. As trying new dishes is part of the adventure, don’t forget to try the popular Korean Red Bean Pancake, it is a good dish to recover your energy after the walk around the island.
You can also rent a bike to move around the island. Pack your travel companion backpack with water, your camera and snacks for the ride. Stop at your favourite spot to enjoy nature and take some photos. Thanks to @ameliewu0303 for showing us this lovely spot she visited in South Korea.
The Angkor Wat Temple in Cambodia is the largest religious monument in the world. It was constructed as a Hindu Temple and gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple. This spectacular historic place has become the symbol of Cambodia, appearing in its national flag. This UNESCO Heritage site is visited by thousands of tourists every year.
Spend the whole day admiring the architecture and learning about this unique historical place. You can rent a bike to explore the place better. Grab your unique Canadian made canvas backpack, your camera and accessories and take some epic photos at Angkor Wat. Don’t forget to pack your backpack with water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and some snacks to enjoy a nice day.
The temperature in Cambodia is high throughout the year with some rainy months between May and November, so use cool clothes and a hat to be protected from the intense sun and avoid dehydration. Thanks to @shufen.lechner for showing us this incredible place.
